Bethel's crew of missionaries arrived at the church parking lot at 6 a.m. sharp with their gear packed and their game faces on...for the most part. After the arrival of a few stragglers and the completion of some creative packing, the two vans departed under perfect weather conditions for the first and longer of the two travel days necessary to reach the Pine Ridge Reservation.
After approximately 12 hours of travel they stopped this evening in Anytown, Iowa, where they are being hosted by First United Church of Christ. Only seven hours to go tomorrow!
